Check the weight of it first. I used a 12 weight Sage for Red fish..

The Pfleuger Medalist model flyrod setup at Academy is awesome for bream and bass. I believe it is a 5/6 weight. Can't throw and large lures on it such as those "fly" frogs. I really only learned to work #8 and #10 topwater poppers well, and that's all I ever really needed to use.
