Ray, when hunting season is over & some of the vegatation starts coming back & my food plots arent being used anymore, I have some of the prettiest wheat fields around. You're right about the wheat. They won't hardly fool with it once it starts to mature. But they keep clipped to the ground during the season.
I noticed the fertilizer seemed more expensive this year...I know some people that don't fertilize and they are always complaining about their food plots but they don't want to spend the extra money...

I just went and dug the receipt out of my truck and I paid $19 for a 40# sack at Stine's....I thought it cost me around $50 more this year to plant but never paid attention to price changes, I just went and got the normal stuff I get every year...I wonder why the increase on fertilizer???
