[SIZE=3]The state has ulterior motives, seems we had a small budget problem, the state will be able to collect royalties from beyond 3 miles from the oil and gas industries, plus you will see some platforms popping up because the state can permit them where the feds will not allow drilling. All and All it’s not a bad deal[/SIZE]

It is always good to see a state exercising more of its Constitutional powers (Amendments 9 and 10) in response to a oppressive and foolish Federal bureaucracies. It is a positive that the benefits will probably extend beyond the fishing communities to all the citizens of Louisiana, and if more domestic oil is produced, to all Americans.
