If the winds are more east than south, the jetties give a good chance of keeping the wave action down and holly beach could end up with clear water. Check in on Wed and ask for a report, the guys here are great with the holly beach updates.

Chasing big specks can be a hard game when the wind blows in Big Lake. If you are willing to give the drum or catfish categories a try, then set up on the west side of the jetties, and bring crab for bait. We caught a bunch of big drum and gafftops last Thu, and on Sat, we weighed and measured multiple gafftops that would have become 2nd place in the Louisiana all time record book had the anglers who caught them bothered to fill out the paperwork and have them officially weighed. We caught most of our gafftops on crab while drum fishing. Other folks were catching them mostly on cut mullet.

Winning the redfish category is a different challenge, you need two redfish just under 27" that are relatively fat for their length. The weirs have been closed, and the fish coming from the east and north ends of the lake have not been as fat as the fish coming from the south and west. I'd be thinking southwest or south central in the redfish category.
