Last year I was looking to either fix my trollmotor or get a new one.
Three trollmotor shops I went to said the new motorguides were not the same as the one I had. New minn kota's have the composite shafts which broke easier. I gave up and just had mine repaired due to I like the stainless shaft over composite shaft.
