I would take the net off and bring it to somebody before I just went buying one. Also you need to make sure you have the net dipped every other year or so.
I grew up shrimping We have nets as old as my dad but we take good care to make sure they are fixed and dipped regularly.
If you take care of the nets they will last a life time. But once you stop maintaining them its over.

Very good idea. I am waiting to hear from Mr. Clark Touchard about a net. I will ask him if I should bring the old net in before he makes a new one.
