You can get a perfectly good Pfleguer combo from Cabelas or Bass Pro for pretty cheap. Don't break the bank just yet. Learn how to cast and fish in small ponds for bream. Bream on a popping bug is a ton of fun and I would bet University Lakes or some other local lakes are full of fish to keep you busy
