I'm nervous about this damn ticket @ the weirs! I was told that a red snapper ticket was much higher.

there is no sighn at the first weir from heberts.can yoou tie up to the weir.seen lots of people do it.

You are right longcast!! That is owned and operated by Miami Corp. Grand and Lambert are operated by Cameron Prairie NWR. The next weir south, Mangrove Bayou, is the same, owned by Miami. NOtice behind the wiers how you can't fish but maybe a half mile north of Grand. Cameron Prairie is bordered by Miami to the north and east, and private landowners to the south and west.

i ahve fished behind the weirs in some other peoples boat,but mine is brand new and to scared to put it through grand.any other way to go back there besides grand

Negative. Also, a tidbit of info. The teflon "bumper" to the north of the gate between Grand and Lambert is gone. That would be a real no-no on a new boat. Hammered the reds back there in the marsh 3 days in a row with the high tide. |
