Just some friendly advice, I would stay out of lacassine. I used to hunt it religiously and kill limits of mallards almost everytime. Now I won't go back. There are hardly any more ponds that have water and every single pond is being hunted. You will end up in an altercation with a regular, as stated before. If your still dead set on lacassine, check out lacassine bayou near the refuge. I have heard of several people setting up in the shallow bays and killing ducks.

Sabine would be a more "sure thing" as far as having a place to hunt. It has WAY more available places to hunt.
