That is the truth, the area that is to be burned is pristine longleaf pine and the reason it is so pristine is that it has been burned so much in the past (by arsonists!). Not sure why arson is such a big thing in this area, but who knows.
Got a call on Thanksgiving Day from a hunter saying there was a fire out there, the volunteer fired department came and put it out. Day after Christmas same thing, the fire dept came and put it out again. About 4 months later, several of the Allen Parish volunteer fire department members were arrested for setting fires to properties
They were getting overtime for this and holdiay pay as well I am assuming?
