Default 8.28.11 Beautiful Morning on Big Lake

Clear skies and low humidity made for a cool and beautiful morning on the BL. The trout seemed to like the weather as well. The bite we got on was not one after the other, but it was very steady. We had our 2 man limit around 10:00 this morning over reefs. Sand Eels, Lil' Jons, She Dogs, and Super Spooks were served on today's menu.

Thanks and yes it was! It was like fishing in air conditioning until about 8:00. Almost felt like a little front pushed through....the clear skies and cool breeze made it seem like a fall morning when we left the dock.

One of the simplest looking baits I have ever used, almost ugly in fact. But it catches fish. They are very durable also. I only used one Lil John today and probably caught 15-20 fish on it, and it is still mostly intact and still on my rod.
