Same thing happened to me weekend before last. Brand new spook, prob caught 3-4 fish. Hook another one broke my super spook all the way down the middle. Cheaply made I guess.

Yea that's what mine did. I just tied it on this morning, caught one fish then the next one cracked it right down the middle and the head of it was smashed to pieces. I like the action of the spook better than the mirrolures, but I have never seen any hard bait shatter like that and its making me want to go back to my she dog....i have she dogs with no paint left on them and rusted hooks that are still catching fish
