No it was really nothing serious. Went in for an oil change, and told the service mgr abt some other issues i was having. I'd smoked my trolling motor plug and my trim button on plug board was sticking. Also was popping a breaker when I turned on my live well pump. So this guy commences to tell me "You have a MAJOR problem" blah blah blah. Told him 5 gal bucket handles live well, and just unplug trim and let wires hang...I got that from throttle. Well he fixes it all and doesn't give me the common courtesy of a phone call to tell me what damage thats gonna cause me. So I ask him to show me what cost me a fortune...his reply "Well we're gonna have to pull it all apart!" My reply "REALLY!?!?!" "Well lets get to taken it apart!!" Ok so the trim don't work...trolling motor plug I have to kick to make work...and I can p e e harder than that "bran new" live well pump does!! Can you say Railroaded!!

Trolling motor plugs are pretty cheap depending on which ones. Trim button sticking? Is it a Merc? They are famous for sticking on the controls, razor blade trimming fixes that. Live well pump, 95% is snapping in a new head and 2 heat shrink butt connectors. I would ask to see old items that were replaced. Does not sound right. Sorry man. Hate to see stuff like this

Yeah thats what Jake said that the live well pump was a snap in snap out job an that they put it to me charging me 2.5 hours for the job. They showed me a live well pump that had oil all over it like they grabbed one outta pile. Thang is my Blue Wave is an 09...bought in dec. 09 from these very same people. I have no "oil" in or around the bilge area. Wonder how the oil got on the old pump and new pump is spotless...you would think there would be oil on the new one too...the mechanic supposedly handled both. jus sayn BTW Lake Area Marine caused this thread!!!

No it's a Sizuk...but cleaning my boat my brush hit the trim button damaging it a lil and it would stick every once in a while....then it got stuck while I was on step and it tried to trim my motor outta the water...it was time to get that fixed.
