Default Grand Isle - 7/12/11

We had 25 by 7:00 and then had to go in with bad weather all around us. Hopefully the weather improves and we can try to get out and finish out our limit this afternoon. I can see the birds diving all over the bay at our camp right now.

I try not to in the summer time.

Honestly I worked 90 hours a week for the first two years after I started my business (and every year for the first 8 years after I finished my degree) but I have had very little turn over and great people working with me so I am able to be away from the office now fairly frequently as long as I have email access and my cell phone with me at all times. I am always off the water by lunch time so I can return phone calls, emails, and review anything that needs my attention. My afternoon is always busy playing catch up.

I must agree that you have a great staff! Glad you got it set up to where you can sneek away!

Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes of all-time. It was made by country singer Travis Tritt and is etched in granite in front of the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville...

"I am an overnight success that took 8 years to make."~Travis Tritt

That's the hope that I hold out for my business as well because, like you had to, I'm dang sure puttin in the hours right now!

I'm pretty sure I have a 35mm pic of it at home. If I think of it this evening, I'll dig it up and scan it. Just one of those "easy money" statements with a lot of truth to it!

Sounds like you are having a great time. The ambient pressure must be in the low 300's over in Grand Isle.
