Hit a rig out of FWC yesterday a buddy of mine and I. We ended up with 38. Caught most of the fish on plastics. Still trying to figure out how to post pic and throw a cast net...lol

reason I asked is that we went out of Rockefeller on Wed, due South, went out about 10 miles, 42 ft. of water and fished hard around that area then came back into the closer platforms just south of the mermentau. Mostly trash fish, gafftops, spainish mackerel, sharks, one red (threw him back), big ladyfish and one lonesome, 4 lb trout. Just wondering what direction y'all went out of FWC and how far.

Do not mind giving this info out...I am not like SOME on here that only post pics/reports (but never gives out any helpful info) to feed their EGO...

Fish were caught in the 46 block.

Also, we did catch 6-7 spanish macks and several lady fish.

thanks for the info. looks like you were in about 30 ft. of water. I've long wondered if there were good trout spots south of Rollover and/or Rockefeller, but the only reports I ever hear are concentrated more toward the VB/TS area. I have access to a camp at P.I. and I'm trying to develop some "hot spots" in that area. I've got a 19ft Frontier and while I've been out to E.I. many times, it always makes me a little nervous to go out that far. My thoughts were that since the water gets much deeper, much faster south of FWC/Rollover/Rockefeller, there oughta be some places to fish there. Many platforms out that way also, just maybe not as many as in the T.S. area.
