you don't have to take supplements when working out, but when you can buy protein in a shake form and it is cheaper than buying steak and chicken breast and its faster to take, why not. I don't push supplements, but with proper nutrients you can gain more muscle than just breaking them down and recovery. plus recovery is faster when you eat right. the Ultra 40s are nothing more than mass amounts of vitamins from a different source other then the store bought vitamins. Plus what I take isn't harmful to your health. I never really liked using creatine, you piss it away as soon as you stop taking it.

Default jacked

i took jacked and suffered from insomnia for 2 weeks and ended up getting very sick. now i look for pre-workouts with low caffine amounts. if you take this, take it with caution.

You ought to try C4 made by cellucor. I used to take jack3d, and I find I get better pumps from the C4 and I let my workout friends try it and they are all on the C4 now. U can prolly get some free samples from GNC if you go in there.

I saw somebody mention to take protein powder because it cheaper than steaks and chicken. Well that is fine as long as you treat protein powder for what it is...........A supplement and not your main source of protein. If you want to grow you have to eat and eat big/clean.

Creatine is good to take also if you know what it is used for. IT will not get you ripped!! It is to gain strength and as a side effect it makes you retain water making you look bigger. This is also good because is help to lubricate your joints for heavy lifting. So creatine isnt all that bad. But u will lose some water weight when you stop taking creatine, but if you continue to train you will keep your strength gains

I use protein powder, but when I see I won't be able to meet my protein requirements through regular food. I plan my meals and track the protein, fat and carbs as much as possible, so I don't have to have protein powder every day. I've only been working out for three months so I've got a long way to go to get rid of the fat and build muscle.

Just out of curiosity, How many grams of protein are you considering your requirement? The reason I ask is that depending on your body type and other factors of course, your body can only digest and use a certain amount of protein, then the rest gets wasted. If you are taking in more protein than what you can digest and use for protein synthesis, I would suggest the use of Amino acids including BCAA. This will help your body efficiently use the protein you take in and as a side effect it can help your body create its own creatine.

took jack 3d for 3 months... got to the point where my hands, feet, and facec started to tingle... side affects are too much for me. common heart problems are palpatations and rapid HR. I experienced flushing of the face also... I preferred N.O. explode.

My target is 230 grams a day. I weigh 208 which unfortunately is not solid muscle

I do a lot of reading online when I work nights and weekends. One thing I've noticed is there are many different schools of thought about nutrition, so I've been trying to sort through what is valid and what isn't. I've calculated the amount of calories I need to eat each day to meet my goal, which is to lose fat right now. That part I'm confident I've calculated right, but I haven't found a consensus on protein. I think I'm fine with what I'm taking in because my system seems to be in order. I'm going to check my weight next Saturday and see if I've made any changes. I'm looking to lose one to two pounds a week until I get to around 185, then I'll try to put on more muscle size.
