My cousin does candy for the you know who's and says he hates when he has a high dollar black job..I used to hate it too,when I worked there,one car I wet sanded into oblivion in between 7 coats of just black..not including base /clears.....

Candy is hard but once you get the hang of. WET you should be alright ....there's no perfect candy paint job my cousin says...everyone he's seen he's able to point out imperfections ...


With black you dealing alot with the paint job itself ..then you gotta have major depthness for it to be good---imho..


On older muscle cars nothing beats a metallic pearl job...big on both too. Alot alot alot
