Is there any truth to the rumor that Yam is working on making a 300sho?
Yep they are making a 300 sho....the 300 offshore series is based off the same 4.2 sho block. From what I heard from my dads friend that works for skeeter is they are making a different lower unit for the 300 sho.

I will buy that engine and put it on a Haynie 24HO when it comes out. That should be an amazing ride. 300 Yam on a 24HO right now is at or around 70mph.

The 300 sho will not be much different than the 300 offshore. Only real difference is the cowls and the lower unit. They may have something else up there sleeve,we shall see.

Will it have a 20 inch shaft or 25 like the current 300?

The 300 sho will have a 20" shaft. They made these motors for bass boats, but you can run them on bay boats with the right setup.
