My son has allergies and exzema, this past weekend he ran out of his Blue Lizard sunscreen, which he has never had a problem with, and my wife put some Bannana Boat on him. He did not have a reaction that afternoon, but the next morning he woke up with a few hives, and she put some steroid cream on it and it went away. But that afternoon after playing and swimming with no sunscreen he broke out again, freaked out is not even the word! boy had raised hives everywhere, straight to the ER, looked that bad. Of course Dr. thought we were crazy, because they had gone down by the time we got there, but I never saw anything like that before.

Moral of the story, stick to what works. Blue Lizard is the stuff!

Hasn't happened since.

I have exzema so I thought my body might have had a reaction. I guess I gotta find what works. I used a generic brand spray on sunscreen for the first time and it happened. I usually use coppertone and have no problems. But this stuff was almost an immediate reaction. Have left over red splotches today but it is not nearly as bad as yesterday. When I was younger I used a steriod cream called Elcon I believe. Worked wonders back then, used to scratch myself until I bled while I was sleeping.
