Default Scouting Trip 5/19/11

made a scouting trip for an upcoming redfish tournament. just wanted to post some random shots my buddy took. water was clear as there was plenty of grass.

I am just startin to get into the saltwater fishin and am hopein to find some areas like yall posted in the lake charles to big lake area. What size boat are you runnin, i plan to by one in the spring and realy like the action craft from what i have seen

Ive only fished the big lake area once and i ran to Sabine. I fish mainly on the east side. The boat is a 1720 flyfisher. I love it

We hit the Biloxi marsh tues, got into some ponds and had a blast catchin reds.... Few 26 3/4 9 lb ..... Never can catch em n the tournys....
Nothing like seeing the red and then casting toward em and seeing that swell!!!!!!
Totally addictive!!!!!

My boat drafts about 7-8 inches depending on load. But yes, sight fishing for reds is definitely addictive!
