that's awesome, I ran over to Allen Parish south of Reeves and there were some hog doggers over there. Pit bull had a kevlar vest on and was bleeding aroung his ear pretty good. Man said that was from earlier catching a boar. That dog was not fazed one bit by it.

That happens - all the time! Very seldom is it anything serious, they do well on their own. The more "gritty" your dogs are, the more first aid you have to deliver, but the more laid back dogs will very seldom get cut, but they have to run a hog longer to shut it down. My buddy's catch dog is a big baby, until he sees a pig. He very seldom gets any scrapes on him at all. I have been doing this for a few years and have on seen one dog seriously hurt (fatal) from a pig and it was not the catch dog. It does happen, but it is not a common thing. Our little Jagdterriers are the always getting cut, because they are so dang crazy, but we staple them up and they are right back at it.
