The longer pigs are in the trap, the more the others will want to go in to meet them. It will soon be loaded!!!!

Nope, we just like seeing the hair fly after working our dogs. That's why we do it. A little "ego" involved also.......ok alot of "ego" - like, "hah, my dog stopped that runner because yours was to sorry to hit him"! It's pretty comical, really comical when you see a man go head first into a freezing bayou becasue a wild pig is literally swimming off with his dog attached - that was last hunt!!!

I have 4 boys and we eat wild game all the time! Between the birds, deer, fish, and hogs we have 3 freezers that get used. We buy chicken and rib eyes at the store - that's it. I also give lots of it away to customers and family and that goes a long way. Every so often, I drop one off to the local homeless shelter north of my residence outside Crowley and they really appreciate it.

fff how do you keep them from digging under the hog panels? i built a trap about 30'x 30' in the 6 shape with a swing door but i can only check it every friday and they always did underneath and get out. they are being fed constantly so i dont know why they want out. tried barb wire at the base but that dont stop um

Now thats what i'm talkin about. Got started about 2 years ago with a coupple of buddies. the first pig we cought had to swim the bayou in 40 deg weather after a rain. These are good times. I kind of got burnt out after I lost a 2 of my 3 dogs one weekend to a 170lb boar with some 2.5" cutters. But these are good times nionw the less.
