It would be cool if someone would type up a fishing ettiquette "Dos and Don'ts" document, written with a cool head and just the facts (no sarcasm and no unrealistic rules, like don't ever pass within 2 miles of another boat...just rules that you follow yourself, without fail). I would be happy to post it in the FAQ docs.

I would pay to see you go off on some people with a bull horn... I would probably fall out of my boat from laughing so hard

excelent idea, im thinkin that' gonna be a long list filled with stuff like "Do practice backing your boat in a parking lot before going to the launch for the first time." and "Don't block 2 of the 3 launch slips at cal point with your big obnoxious lsu boat on saturday morning at daybreak!"

I could cut it down to one.... "Do have respect for others." but thats wishful thinkin.

That should be posted on a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood and put next to every boat launch that has access to Big lake; or any launch anywhere for that fact.

This would be an excellent idea, the only issue would be that this fishing etiquette information would rarely pertain to the people on this website, except for possibly a very few things. The people on this website seem to have enough respect and common sense to know what's right and wrong when it comes to respect and courtesy on the water with others. I think it would be a great article to publish come the beginning of the spring and summer fishing months in the Lousiana Sportsman, launches, outdoor section of newspaper, and the Lousiana rules & regulations pamphlet that tells you what catch and size limits are allowed.

DO idle into a fishing area

DON'T get so close where you're casting where I am casting.

or

DO stay the hell away from me.

DON'T come within 100 yards of me
