the new phones, like the Droid we just got for the kid, have voice texting. By the time they pass texting bans, no one will be typing anymore.

BTW, there is already a law on the books that would apply to those who wreck while texting, eating, etc. It's called "Failure to Maintain Reasonable Vigilance".

i just downloaded a free voice to text app...pretty cool except it censors curse words and if you talk fast you get some crazy stuff

"Dragon Dictation" is an app for Iphone that I have, voice to text. It's free and works pretty good.

My cell phone replaced a camera, a pocket of change in case i need to make a phone call, a rolodex, a compass, a gps, a watch, a notebook, game boy, etc etc etc. I used to be able to remember numerous phone numbers of many different people but now all i do is say call wife, and voilas, it calls her up. I could live without it but it would be difficult.

I could live without my phone but I wouldn't have a job anymore if I didn't have it. My job solely depends on me being able to get emails and phone calls 24-7
