welcome to the site.... rockafeller can be tough for trout sometimes especially using artificial... look for cleaner water that is moving around points and try to match what you are throwing to what ever bait you see in the water

fished the "roc" a couple of times...bertrand canal is popular...I saw folks cacthing on live shrimp...soaking bait shrimp will get you drums and reds among other species.
Kinda have to be able to put up with the crowd...most anchor with the old popping cork. |

we need to start a mentor program for Newbies. I think it would be great to show the correct way to fish and handle a boat on the "Lake" |

None taken, fishing reefs, birds, ect can be much different than freshwater.
Don't worry about duckhunters anymore, quit public hunting but I have been there also. |

Contact W on Cross Reef.... Poppin corks, dont go get the humogus (sp) red and white ones the Mikedatiger uses. Get the smaller ones, anything small with a 1/8th oz lead head underneath about 14-18in. NO livies here with me... |

don't know what kind of boat your heading out in but i've been hearing specs being caught at the rigs right outside of there. I'd throw artificial. Either some glow/chartreuse sand eel jrs, or some lsu or opening night bayou chubs. Try under popping corks first then I'd put either 1/4 or 3/8 jig head and tight line them either on the bottom or suspending. Just gotta find out how they are holding
