Looks like im going to get the XSI with a ef75-300mm lense (canon)
I think it'll be a good starter set up it's going to be around 750-780....I'd rather spend that on a camera that will help me rember the good times, rather than tackle, that last only for a little while. Last edited by huntin fool; 03-01-2010 at 09:12 PM. |

Or you could buy two shimano cumulus rods!!
I would love to get into outdoor photography too...just can't justify the cheese to buy a nice camera right now...

"The SLR Camera Case (code 455) is compatible with most SLR type cameras. It'll float with your camera in"
A water proof case would be a nice addition to your setup. Verify the highlighted quote from the link is the right one for your XS. |

Two things to remember about photography.
1. You camera absolutely doesn't matter. 2. The most important part of your camera is the 12 inches behind it. Oh yeah, and IS is good but IS will not stop a fast subject. It will only help you shoot a stationary subject at a slower shutter speed. It may help with panning, but that is debatable. To stop a fast subject you need a fast lens. Good luck with your purchase. I hope it works out well for you. |

I bought my wife this lens for Christmas. It was $200 at Amazon.com. She uses it alot and works great. There are all types of lenses for a lot less money.

IS is very good for taking still or action photos. IS is not for stopping fast action, IS is for the user and the human response of shaking/moving while taking pictures. IS helps compensate for the shaking/moving. |
