like dink said put a towel or bed sheet over it , when it barks dont even look at it just ignore it , also buy it a comfortable dog bed and some chew toys put them in the crate with the puppy , never use the crate as punishment so dont yell at the puppy for barking in the cage if you ignore it , it will stop maybe not tonite but give it a week . the cage should be the dogs "comfort / saftey zone" or simply its personal space , my dogs go take naps in their crates or go in there just to chew a bone ect... mine used to hate it when they were pups
