1 permit is good news to the ones who don't work in the oil field. It is not for the ones who do.
If a company never had a deepwater incident in 20 years, why hold them back?

True but 1 permit being issued is ALOT better than 0 permits being issued. Is it rediculous that it took this long? Yes. Is it pathetic that so many rigs are stacked? Definately. But you can't get to 10, 15 or 20 permits without getting #1 so it's definately a step in the right direction, FINALLY.
