who buys baseball cards in calcasieu parish?

i've got a fairly extensive collection of cards...lots of "commons" but a fair amount of stars and rookies and also several unopened complete sets. any idea who can i bring the collection to in order to get an evaluation?

thanks in advance,
sulphurboy

beckett is the guu of sports cards and their value . You can order a beckett book on line or get them thru a book store.
But be prepared.
i have over $5 000 worth of football cards according to beckett and i can't get $500 for them.
A card is only worth what someone is willing to pay for them.
If you don't have any really rare cards or good autographs . you may get .5 on the dollar if your lucky.

the internet (ebay, etc.) put the card shops out of business pretty much

yep cat daddy, my intention is to sell them...

eman, thanks for the heads up...i figured as much - i'm not fortunate enough to have rare cards.

my whole set is ~5000 cards...the majority from the mid 70s but some from the late 60s and a few from the late 80s.

i've got some basketball and football cards from the mid/late 70s as well.

many "common" cards but some stars...a 1969 yellow letter mantle, a 69 roberto clemente...a couple of 69 roger maris...a couple of unopened 1988 complete sets and a 1990 unopened complete set.

i have no real idea about what they are worth...i've looked up some of the notables but like eman said earlier, they are only worth what someone will pay.

so yeah, lets talk!
