I was. But I stayed out till 3 this morning looking for a damn Bobcat, and then woke up early, to go back out and look for it during daylight.. Stayed looking for the bobcat so long, i forgot about the damn beaver. Left it laying in the sun too long... I was kind of upset i didnt have a chance to clean it...

I cut the tail off, and im going to make a paddle for the kids... (Thats country huh).... Can you see my kids telling their teacher that their dad whips datazz with a beaver tail?

Asterisk-Rich 03-30-2010 10:51 PM

Have any of you ever eaten beaver tail? My friends LA history teacher told them that it was the best meat around, better than filet mignon, ribeye, etc etc etc. He said clean it and fry it like backstrap. So whats yalls take on it?

Red Devil 03-31-2010 08:35 AM

They say you got to make sure to get all the hair off too.

"W" 03-31-2010 08:44 AM

How to Clean a Beaver
1) You must wash the beaver down real good to make sure it is real clean and all the lose hairs have fallen out
2) Start from the top and pull the skin from left to right or right to left and take your time
3) once you start removing hair from the beaver make sure to be careful as you work the leg areas, this can be tricky so make sure you have a real Sharpe knife to get the best cuts
4) Once you have removed all the Hair and from the beaver make sure you wash it real good again. You want the meat to be hairless so take your time and clean any hair off that stuck to the skin.
5) After all the steps are complete your Beaver is ready to eat! ENJOY
