Does it cost anything to launch at Hebert's?

A year or so back.....they put a more noticable sigh on the box.

I which they would spend a little of the money collected to fix the pot holes in front of the launch.

I think all the money goes to the owners very young grandson who is handicap/disabled.

There has been a charge for the past 25 years. When old man Hebert was there, barefoot all the time, he came out and got the $2 from you while you were launching.
I never seen it free that I can remember.

ScubaRu 03-06-2010 07:03 PM

Dang, I only been there a handful of times in the last ten years and that mailbox has always been there.

Big Daddy is good people, he has opened the restaraunt at 3 o'clock for us just so we could get a bite to eat!

He also chewed out the 5-0 for givin me a ticket when my trailer was hangin in the street a little bit, Barney tore it up after that.

biglaketiger 03-06-2010 10:13 PM

Mr. Arnie owns the landing and the restaraunt, the restaraunt has been leased by a local and is scheduled to open by late this spring, and beware about the landing, Mr. Arnie has camera's and expects to be paid for using his launch!

Kinda reminds me of the older lady in duck season at the laccassine launch, out there at the launch in her moo-moo with a flashlight in your eyes demanding her 5 dollars as you put your wader on..

datcajunman 03-07-2010 07:30 PM

we were there too and Mr. Arnie had sent someone to check that red box. We have to appolagize as well because we were so excited that the weather was so beautiful to go fishing, that we also forgot to pay the $5.
