Bored at 200 feet....
Well here I am at couple hundred feet in the air sitting on a scaffold board. Yes, one scaffold board! It's cold like God knows what and I'm stuck waiting for an inspector to look at my weld so I can continue. What's everybody else doin?
What a life! 12 hours a night and 4 to 5 hours a day in my shop are really starting to take it's toll! Night 18 in the plant and day 15 in the shop! In short, billystix, I know how fatigue causes mistakes! Lol. Btw, I still think you make some beautiful rods! |

For reasons of what I'm doin with being on here, I won't openly say the plant name. Nights are no fun and cold ones are even worse! Glad to know I'm not alone

well if it makes ya feel any better....that weld inspector really hates climbing his azz up there to inspect your weld as much as you hate to being up there.....I did it for a year of my life....hopefully never again lol
|
Back up here and still bored... Weld is done though! Brother-in-lawed a 42 inch line in 5.5 hrs. Not bad timing considering it was slammed shut on one side and had a 3/8 inch gap on the other with bout a quarter inch high-low in it! Gotta love big bore pipe!!!....It never fits very good.
C'mon 5:30!!!!! Ten hours and out tonight! |

I know our plant keeps Sulzer in business. we always have stripper columns coming down and doing tray repair. I pulled some pump suction strainers the other night and it was full of stainless football washers, nuts and bolts.! I work at Total Petrochemicals in Carville
