I thought you would find this interesting.

The attached pictures are from the I-10 Twin Span Reef Project, taken by Tim Osborn with NOAA. This is the material that will be dropped in Lake Ponchatrain. Boh Bros is actually beginning to drop the first pieces this week.

As you know, this will be the first project of its kind in LA in that we have always been required to use #57 limestone for our reefs. #57 is great reef material, but it is expensive and has to be shipped in. The ability to use debris material like this will be an incredible step for Louisiana, and will hopefully open the door for many more projects like it across our coast. This is habitat building at its best.

The lake needs it, theirs only so much structure you can fish besides the bridges

Me too, but we might have a harder time getting in here in SWLA. One reason it was passed, was because it would be deep....10 + feet below the water, causing no harm to boats.
