can someone tell me, being that im 13 would i still have to get my rec.crabbing liscense inorder for me to crab with 10 wire pots north of the intercoastal?

being that your under 16 i believe you dont need it. but i could be wrong. sure someone will go look it up.

okay. i thought since i wa sunder 16 i wouldn't need it. but few months ago i had 1 wired crab pot in the boat, and the GW said i needed some liscense i guess recreational. but just making sure

Recreational anglers ages 16 and over using any of the recreational gear listed below must, in addition to their basic fishing license, purchase the applicable gear license. If fishing in saltwater areas of the state, a saltwater fishing license is also required. Lifetime fishing license holders must also purchase a gear license to use recreational gear.

Fool, you are supposed to have a tag on your pot with your lic. # on it, that is what the GW meant I guess, so they can identify the owner...you don't have a lifetime license yet?

nah my dad was gunna get one when they was cheaper a few yrs ago but forgot i guess.

if i win shootout i get one :)

that's right, that's a great prize in itself...you'll probably spend $1000s in your lifetime renewing every year, because with all these liberal yahoos running around in government its gonna get more and more expensive to do what we do.
