Need gps help
Hey guys a friend of mine just called and gave me cords to a hotspot that I have never fished before that he as been catching,I put the numbers in my gps and the first numbers on the longitude are 89 but my gps puts a 0 in front of the 89,is this the same position and if not how far apart would 89 vs 089 be,one of my popular waypoints is 9 miles from the numbers that he gave me,i just went outside to check it. What's are the coordinates. So I can check on my gps. Lol. JJ
Is it the same brand GPS, your and his. If not Go look in your settings. Find the one that matches but it can throw all yoir coordinates off. If im correct Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk |
89 and 089 should be the same.
You can ask your buddy what format his waypoints are in and set yours for the same format. |

Actually guys Datum and format have to match.. Example 84 Datum. dd.mm.mmm is actually the best I find... But If your buddies coord are in a different format, then u can enter those coord by changing your format to same as coord. Saving them.. Then change back to your preferred format I E. DD.MM.MMM . GPS will convert it for U...

You multiple by 60 or divided by 60.
