Made a Trip to Sabine to get ready for a couple upcoming tournaments. Water was a lil high and off colored but we boated about 15-20 bass total with best 3 going right at 7lbs... Hopefully they wanna bite this saturday aswell.

Great stuff. What tournaments are coming up? I don't do Facebook.
I'm aware of the V&M tournament.

BassYakR 08-18-2016 09:28 AM

My Club tournament is Saturday... and V&M next saturday

T-Boo 08-18-2016 10:53 AM

Saturday is looking good, weather wise.
Those fish weighed well.
I catch small ones and the occasional 2-lb'er out there. I guess that's why they call it "fishing", but it's skill, not luck that brings in a string of 3-lb'ers out there. Good on ya!

Spro frogs usually get those bigger bites.... Only problem is you have to stick to it.... May only get 1 bite per hr or less... But when you do... its the ones you need

Where is the sign up for V&m tourney?

BassYakR 08-19-2016 06:00 AM

All info is on the V&M Facebook page.

Fishing has been good. 13.5 won our tourney the other day. We got 4th with just over 9 lbs.

May be a dumb question but I gotta ask....since Niblett's is still closed I wanna launch in orange...is it the same as toledo and the louisiana license has me covered?

LukeMcFarlane 08-20-2016 07:52 AM

As long as you fish main river or in la. You will not be able to fish in any cuts or bayous in Texas

thatguytyler 08-20-2016 12:44 PM

I don't think you can launch in TX without a TX license

LukeMcFarlane 08-20-2016 03:33 PM

The ramp on Simmons is in the main river. It is not technically in Texas it is both

You must also follow Texas size and limits.

LukeMcFarlane 08-20-2016 05:32 PM

The only time you have to follow Texas limits is if you are fishing in Texas. If it is main river or la you don't.

Yessir that was us! We caught Tons of fish. I think me and my partner caught at least 65 bass saturday... most of which were 11-12 inches long. I think we had 6.47 or something like that for our best 5. 1st place had about 10lbs. The quality I had been catching definently disappeared

T-Boo 08-22-2016 06:44 AM

It's obvious that I have a lot to learn out there. I was scratching all day.
What time was yall's weigh-in? I would have liked to have watched.
For future reference, my boat is a green 1548 aluminum flat with green carpet and a Suzuki 25 on it. If you ever pass me.

BassYakR 08-22-2016 06:56 AM

I have a White 15/54 marshrunner... w 40 Tohatsu.. weigh in was @ 4:30
