Salty catch tournament family event??

I was excited to hear about the new Salty Catch tournament coming to the lake area and after hearing all about it especially on the radio I was all in!
all the advertising said that it was going to be a fun family event and as me my wife and two kids went to the party there was a bikini contest!!!!!
Lets just say i was in a bind.
i thought this was going to be a great thing to happen for the fishing community but if they wanted it to be that type of event where they need girls in bikinis to get people to go then the creator should not have advertised it as a family fun event.
Can we just focus on our excellent fishing?

It was pretty clear that the captains PARTY included a bikini contest

But its still a family fun event.....? all the advertising encouraged to bring your family and i guess i did overlook that part but i just kept hearing the slogan being about family and fishing there was no mention of the contest on the radio

So you don't take your kids to the beach or water parks?

i think there is a big difference in families being at a water park and women competing on stage

The weigh in was very family oriented. All kids there got gifts.

My son is 9 and he was busy playing in the sand until the ladies took the stage. He ran to the front of the crowd and enjoyed the show. No harm done!

Looking at the picture on their facebook page with the girls standing together in the sand facing the camera. I'd say the girl fourth from the left in the light green bikini and two large flotation devices should've won.
