How much deeper? Say Big Lake averages 4-6 feet what would Sabine's average be?

Jadams 06-23-2016 05:46 AM

Thanks for reply. I understand now. Never fished Sabine but have some friends that have and they went over there and brought live shrimp from here and circulated Sabine lake water with it and killed them. Nice catch!

Sabine runs about 6ft on average. And usually stays fresher than BL because it has a much larger water shed with Toledo bend to the north dumping down the Sabine river on the east side and the Neches river dumping into the northwest. That's one of the reasons that besides the large reef on the extreme south end of the lake Sabine has few major reefs in the lake itself compared to BL. Long story short no way Sabine is saltier than BL right now.

Looks like Texas side of causeway. Very nice launch and camp ground.
