Leaky Roof
 

My roof is leaking around the chimney as I type this. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to me and my wife.

get off of here and fix that leak... put some expandable foam on it.

if you cant duct it... well try something else

Bet is is leaking at the flashing, have you taken a look in the attic to see where it is coming in??? Get it fixed soon or you will have a mess on your hands. PM me prior to making any insurance claim if that is the route you go.

Man that sucks, good luck with getting it fixed, I hope it's nothing major...

i think after looking at it that is leaking around the flashing. There is really nothing I can do while it is still raining other than put a tarp on it is there? The leak is not that bad it is just a couple of drips per minute.

Just make sure you put a bucket or something under the leak to catch it.

tarp.... fixes everything.... then... duct tape..... then..... there wont be another then... cause duct tape holds it forever !!

alright thanks to fishinpox i got up on the roof and caulked around my chimney flashing and anywhere else I could see potential problems. so far I don't see any new water coming in the house so here are fingers crossed.
