one thing I liked about him is (for all appearance anyway) he wasn't a big druggy like most entertainers, he was more of a health freak so the prevailing wisdom was he didn't do drugs even though you just never know.

True artist. This guy played ALL of the instruments on his albums. Probably one of the best guitarist ever
