Welding jobs?

Well my company is closing down in Broussard and will be laid off. Does anyone has any leads for a welding job or any other entry level? 4 years of welding experience and a veteran willing to learn a new trade.

latravcha 04-18-2016 07:58 PM

What do you weld?

haoward 04-18-2016 08:18 PM

Everything beside 6gr pipe welding.

swamp snorkler 04-19-2016 06:04 AM

Sorry to hear that, we are really slow as well.

If you don't weld 6gr you're a plate welder? Do you weld fluxed-core, stick, short arc or TIG? Iron, stainless, aluminum, copper-nickel or Inconel? Do you do any pipe or structural fitting?

If you don't mind going offshore check with Dolphin Services out of Houma.

Thanks. I can weld stick, tig, mig, and flux structural. Pipe only on a rollout. I will check out that place thanks.

There is a lot of welding going on around Lake Charles right now with some of these projects with more to come over the next 5-7 years. If you are interested, you should check with CB&I for the CLNG project in Hackberry and maybe Fluor for the Sasol work in Westlake.
