Lots of BW Teal in our area this morning and we had a blast shooting the little rockets, also saw quite a few greys but didn't get any because there were too many duck shooters and callers scaring the big ducks away today, front is through Ville Platte now and we will see what happens. We are back at the camp eating our traditional opening day meal of crawfish stew, fried fish and potatoe salad and Lil-C and I are loving life.Good Luck

Are those Coots on the bottom of boat? Do you put them in a gumbo? I heard they were really good in gumbo. I thought about making a Coot gumbo to see if people like it. We have thousands on our lease.

Yes my cousin shot two of them, they are great in gumbo!!

I don't see why they wouldn't be. They have been sitting in our ponds eating the same stuff all the other ducks are eating. It's amazing how fast they can clear a pond. I have to try it.
