Welders?

My son is looking for someone who can weld 2 new catalytic converters on his Chevy truck. Any ideas? We r located in Lake Charles.

They want you to buy the cats from them. My son has his own he got at a great price online.

There is a welding shop off of Big Lake Road but I don't know if they have the ability to get under a vehicle. I think most welding shops might have that issue. I think it is West Side Welding. I know a lot of people bring their boats there for repair work and they do a good job. But this is entirely different. Their number is (337) 474-4553

Your problem is you're saying it wrong. You mean a "Cadillac Convertor"

Add Southside Welding at 5726 Common. 477-0527.

Go to One Stop auto on the corner of E School St and Common St....I had a muffler that I brought in welded on years ago, quick and cheap.

I'm not sure if Southside would do it but I recommend them also...You really need a lift to get it done efficiently.

Try the Muffler shop on Hwy 14 just south of Broad street[right behind the Gas station].

Several years ago, I had them make several wells to install a new muffler on my GoDevil engine. Cost was only $20.

ScubaLatt 11-17-2015 09:18 PM

Thanks, guys. I'll try a couple of these. Westlake muffler wants $100 to weld them on.

jl8200 11-17-2015 09:33 PM

100 bucks don't sound like too much with the labor that's involved. That's assuming that you have to remove the old ones first.

Bdub 11-17-2015 10:18 PM

Yep not bad at all

kcinnick 11-17-2015 10:24 PM

$100 to cut out and install new is a deal.

X 2....

I wouldn't put a car on a lift for less than $100, especially if they want to bring their own internet parts.

ScubaLatt 11-18-2015 11:34 AM

Old ones are cut off. My son is a starving college kid and he won't accept my $ help.
