Funny saw that same spider on post on Facebook in a urinal with a surprising shadow hanging above it.

Not sure what it is bit it isn't one of our bad ones. If it's not in a bad spot I would leave it alone to catch all the bugs it wants. They are a good thing to have around.

Unsure, but resembles the brown widow spider. I tried to match your pic with spiders of Louisiana, and it may be a color variation of the brown widow.

First thought was a male brown widow spider. Cant see enough of it to make the case though

My dad called them Garters...they eat other spiders and bugs..we never killed them, but they can and do bite...some have fangs in excess of a 1/8th of an inch...I am not afraid of any snake, but I loathe spiders...
