Cappy where did you get your seeds ??? Whats the name of them ???

Cappy 07-10-2015 02:55 PM

We got them at BURPEE seeds on line they are heirloom seeds so if ya careful ya only gotta buy them once. save a couple yards of them :) and let them dry for next year. They have lots of names and I aint sure whats official. They go by yard longs, asparagus beans, chinese long beans etc.

Check in the roux if ya wanna see how they came out for supper.

Thanks Cappy ,,,I just ordered 2 different varieties from baker creek...They should be here next week and I'll put some in the ground since we still got over 2 months of hot weather...If they do good I'll keep a bunch of seeds....Ain't nothing like some fresh green bean and anduille....or ham.....or smoke sausage....you know what I'm talk'n bout.............

LOL these are posed to be good on the pit too. Friend Tod said they would grill em and use them to snack on while waiting for the meat to smoke
I smothered a big pot full yesterday and today warmed them up and added a lb of weenies to em. I am just that trashy.

I put some type of the yard longs in the ground last Sunday. They are up already. I'll post back with the variety once I find the pack. I'm interested to see how they do in the heat.

Wife got the red variety (only about 2'long) from baker creek this year....they did great, and were tasty...we'd eat em raw right off the bush....baker creeks got some cool stuff....also got some red okra that was pretty tasty.
