I was off Friday for the upcoming holiday. Made an afternoon trip to BL in search of some trout. We put in at CP and the water was NASTY! The wind was blowing from the south so hard we could barely stay dry in the ship channel. I thought the afternoon would be a bust but what the heck, i'm on vacation. We bought some live shrimp and headed way south. Two stops later in the ship channel, BAM!.. 44 fish and back at the landing before dark. All fish were with eggs and were caught on live shrimp under a cork along the bank in the ship channel. We went from Zeros to Heroes on that trip! Got to like it when a day turns out for the best!
