Had Mr Tom and Jim today from Houston, we got on a good trout bite at daylight but it died out fast . we only boxed 20 trout but i had em all pumped up about Triple tail fishing so at 8am we headed out looking .

We managed 5 keepers but should of had a limit easy . Broke off on some real big ones around 20-28lbs if I had to guess

Found a tree truck floating that was a nursery of little ones so we culled about 15 under size to get the two big ones .

Depends on the day I guess .. Yesterday was plum retarted we saw 20+ all over 5lbs and one that could of went 30lbs

But they would not eat plastic or trout roe that I normally use. They were just not hungry

But today I cheated and before heading out got a quart if shrimp .. Just free lined it to them and wham. !!!

I let my guys catch em all today and they had trouble with the bigger ones by pulling back to hard and not letting them wear out .. Broke off on some real good fish today

I do have this little holographic shrimp bait that will bust em up most of the time too

Thanks. I thought imitation shrimp would be best if you don't have live bait. I had one hanging out by my prop last year and the live shrimp we dropped didnt make it two inches in water and that sob slammed it.
