Those are very nice......for anybody. Doin work! Those from this morning?

If you were in a red chevy extended cab yesterday, I saw y'all. I was in a Red Tundra with a stainless steel dog box. We had a decent afternoon as well, but they wouldn't touch chartreuse on our end, Purple with the chartreuse tail was the trick for us.

Ok Shawn....yeah we spoke once the bite died. We rolled about 1 mile east and picked up about 7 more before dark.

Shawn Braquet 06-05-2015 10:24 AM

Nice, that was my buddy y'all talked to, I was coming in from the rocks. I managed 7 trout and a keeper red and the other guy on the rocks with me managed 4 trout and 1 keeper red. He would have had more trout if he would had left his dang surf rod alone like I told him to. We lost 3 nice ones at the rocks trying to net them. Very slow presentation was the ticket for us.

They were. The bite slowed down for me around 830 and I had to get to work, so I stopped with 10 specks and 2 sand trout.

I saw you out there yesterday evening. I was in the silver Duramax with the two kids and the wife. I only caught a few in the hour that I fished, only had Glow and Glow/Chartreuse with me. I didn't have a net or anywhere to put them anyway. I was fishing a few sets of rocks to the West from you.

Been catching them out of the boat all week in the ship channel every evening but the kids wanted to play on the beach yesterday so was a little unprepared.....

Either way, it was beautiful weather, and a nice evening to spend at the beach.

One of the guys I work with was thinking about making a trip ... Showed him Crabs post from Tuesday evening and he jumped yesterday afternoon and took off.
He landed 13 nice trout yesterday evening and was there this morning. Still waiting to hear back from him on todays trip.

He was in a Tundra ice blue 4 door with tinted windows if anyone noticed ?

BTW ... Thanks for the reports and time to post pics guys !

mr crab 06-05-2015 01:17 PM

That's awesome.... glad he had a good trip. How come you didn't join him?

At our work there are only 3 of us in our Dept. I had already missed work for a W. Cove trip Tuesday and we had one guy on personal leave time. So I'm holding down the fort by myself.

Trust me .... its killing me not to be able to go !!! Especially after seeing and reading all the good reports !

meaux308 06-06-2015 08:45 PM

I am going to be out there in the morning attempting to catch enough for supper. I hope the water is still nice.

Trout rivers 06-07-2015 12:58 AM
