Sunday's Quick Steak
2 Attachment(s)
Didn't have a bunch of time, so I pulled some steaks (WAGU) out of the freezer for a quick grill.

Quick little marinade of Dale's Seasoning with fresh cracked pepper.
Threw the asparagus in there for giggles too.
Made some home made mac and cheese for the kids.....you see what plate they ended up on!

Where can you find Wagu steaks at in Layfayette? Had a steak a long time ago, and remember how good it was! Would like to try it again.... Man, that looks good!

dales on a steak... on WAGU for that matter! why not just buy the cheapest steak if you are gonna soak it in that stuff and hide the true flavor of the steak? not trying to b a **** but have you ever tried just a very hot grill, sea salt and cracked pepper maybe a small pad of butter to melt on it while it rests. again not trying to knock your technique but ive noticed lots of people down here marinate excellent cuts of beef that really need no marinade

Salt pepper and butter. Only way to go. My wife puts sauces and stuff on her steaks. I buy a crappy piece of meat for her when I cook steaks. She still enjoys them the same as if they were way expensive steaks. She can't tell the difference. Also allows me to put more money on my steaks. Hehehe

Yes I have, I promise it doesn't sit long. 2-3 min MAX.
Its a personal preference, that's all. Learned about the Dale's thru Mr. Lesters in Charenton.

Problem is steaks have lost their flavor due to feedlots/factory farming, so people had to learn how to give them flavor. I'll put one of my ribeyes with just salt and pepper against any marinated steak as far as flavor goes. The most I ever do is cook some mushrooms in garlic butter and put that on top.

I wouldn't turn it down if somebody offered it to me either... Just not how I would cook it
