HAH,,,,That reminds me of a few years back when my mother bought a lil basket of them at the store and I thought they were good enough to plant in my garden....Well I also never knew how they grew and I planted 30 of them....Talk about brussel sprouts out the yazoo.....I picked them by the gallon...

I don't think spring will produce...I always planted in fall...You can plant from seed and 4 to 6 plants is plenty for your own use...

Das kinda what I figured too. Problem is fall garden is so stinking far away and I am like a kid with a new toy. If I can find some I'm gona give them a try and let yall know. I just hope they have enough time to grow fore they burn up.

Cappy 03-15-2015 10:26 AM

Danny I am so very glad to hear that cause I stuck some seeds in the ground last Saturday. My yard is finally drying enough to go check on them so I'll let yall know. I am south of I-10 hope that is gonna be ok. Thanks so much for the response.

Dang I planted some in the fall, and nothing on the stalks/heads...didn't produce. I just pulled them up yesterday for spring prep. Guess they didn't get the memo!
